A "lurcher" is not in itself a breed of dog, but a type of hound that results from cross breeding a sighthound with another type of working dog. However, here in the UK we mostly refer to both sighthounds and "lurchers" as long dogs - and they are very much loved - this year a Greyhound won best of breed in the Hound class at Crufts, so this gives an indication of the respect we have for these beautiful creatures, irrespective of whether they are pure bred or crossed.
Lotty's gorgeous rendition of the long dog in her print "Lurcher" is shortly to be released as a silk collection - and we cannot wait!
