It looks like this young man thought the water was a bit chilly in Mustique! But we don't think he would be in swim shorts if he was at the seaside in the UK at the moment..
Around the coast of the UK, February is normally the coldest month, but inland there is little to choose between January and February as the coldest month. It has certainly turned rather chilly in the last few days, so we thought that you might like to try this to warm you up:
Make yourself a ginger tea -
step 1. just add 6 thin slices of fresh (peeled) ginger to a small saucepan of water
step 2. let it bubble away for about 15 minutes.
Delicious with a squeeze of honey and lemon juice, this will warm your cockles!
Here is some rather warmer news from Mustique:
February is a moderately hot month in Mustique with temperatures in the range of an average low of 21°C (69.8°F) and an average high of 27°C (80.6°F). February is also the month with the least rainfall in Mustique.
This fabulous photograph was taken by the lovely Tallulah in the Permaculture Gardens (Feb 9th) - the colour of the sky and dappled sunlight on the pomegranates makes us feel warmer somehow. Thank you Tallulah!
