Introducing our Wiltshire Atelier: Turning surplus silk into a timeless capsule collection
February marks the end of months of tireless designing, sampling and sewing and the launch of our Pink House Atelier collection! Handmade in our showroom and office in the UK, this collection has been created using surplus silk fabrics designed by Lotty B and each item will be made-to-order to avoid overproduction and waste.
Anastasia and Belinda, our seamstress and pattern cutter, have been working non-stop to perfect this seasonless capsule collection. Each item aims to be versatile, taking you from day to night, and from the city to the tropics. Comprised of matching sets and silk dresses, these items are equally suited to summer weddings and events as they are to beach-bars and the poolside.
Lotty B prints always pack a punch, delivering the colour, character and sunshine of the Caribbean. The selected prints for this collection range from the bold graphic “Lime Slice” to the repeat floral and geometric “April Showers” print, vibrant carnival-esque dancers in “Fruit Punch” and the elegantly adorned “Lurcher.” Matching colour plain silks have been incorporated to compliment the prints on the design features, or as thoughtful and high-quality separates.
Staying true to our fuss-free and minimalist design principles, we have avoided fiddly fastenings or fitted styles, opting instead for silky, flowing silhouettes. Equal parts elegant and effortless, considered and fun, we hope that our designs are worn on repeat, and passed down from generation to generation.
The team at Pink House HQ has certainly had fun with the process. With the atelier right at the heart of our operations, all of the team have been pulled in to provide feedback on new designs, or asked to try them on as fit models. We can’t wait to see the culmination of our work, and to get going on the next designs. Keep your eyes peeled for new print and product releases!
