This print is inspired by the flamboyant flowers of the flame trees found on Mustique, St Vincent & the Grenadines. According to islanders, this flamboyant tree stands for pride, hope and rest, however we think of them as being true to the dictionary definition of flamboyance: noticeable and stylish!
Lotty sketched the blooms intertwined with their shadows on featherweight silk crepe-de-chine to give the impression of flowers stirring in the breeze.
