Lotty uses her island home of Mustique as the muse for her nature-inspired prints. Here we look at the journey from Lotty's earliest pencil sketches and how they are translated to our various fabrics and designs.
Seahorses are very shy creatures but can sometimes be seen in the waters around Mustique. Lotty drew this pencil sketch and this formed the basis of our "seahorse" print:
The next step in Lotty's process was to paint the original sketch in ink:
Our screen printers made a beautiful job of transferring this print onto our shirts and dresses in linens and silks, plus swim shorts - although we are currently out of stock of linens and swim shorts. Lotty created the "repeat" print for garments which you can see on these examples below:

Recently we introduced a range of upholstery and drapery fabrics for the home - UV resistant and water resistant woven polyester - suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Here is the "seahorse" print on the drapery fabric:
